hello, i’m emma
practitioner of somatic womb work, Mizan Therapy & holistic bodywork
i support women through life’s cycles and transitions, including pregnancy, postpartum, menarche, menstrual cycles, fertility and menopause.
i offer a calm, grounded space for you to slow down, reconnect with your body and feel supported on your journey, wherever you are finding yourself now.
this work is deeply important to me, i believe in the value of rest, care and being held through life’s transitions in a way that feels gentle and human.
my journey in creating nama mama
where I was first drawn toward supporting parents, birth and the importance of supportive care during life’s transitions. what started with a connection to community through carrying my children in slings, gradually unfolded into deeper work supporting women & families preparing for their own births and parenting.
over the years, I have continued to train and deepen my understanding through studies in hypnobirthing, closing the bones ceremony, somatic bodywork, Mizan Therapy, womb-centred care and traditional postpartum practices. my work has been shaped by many inspiring teachers, mentors and communities who have broadened my perspective on birth, mothering, bleeding, ageing and the wisdom held within the body.
i am deeply inspired by traditional lineages of care and the body’s innate capacity for balance and healing when given the right support. alongside my bodywork practice, I continue to explore herbalism in connection to my celtic ancestry, to cyclical living and our relationship with the natural world, weaving these influences gently into my work and the spaces i hold for others.
nama mama has evolved through years of learning, connection and community, and continues to grow through the people, practitioners and traditions that inspire me.
my values
at the heart of my work is a belief in slower, more connected ways of caring for ourselves and one another. i value rest, presence and the importance of being supported through life’s transitions with gentleness and care. my work is rooted in honouring the body’s natural rhythms, living in closer relationship with nature and creating spaces where people can feel safe to soften, reconnect and return to balance.
i am committed to holding an inclusive, respectful and consent-led space for all who come to work with me. my practice is rooted in the belief that everybody deserves to feel safe, supported and treated with dignity and care. i continue to actively learn and reflect in my commitment to anti-racist practice, human rights and creating spaces that honour autonomy, boundaries and individual lived experience. consent, communication and choice are at the forefront of every session I offer.

what it feels like to work with me
i aim to hold each session as a calm, grounding and supportive space where you can arrive exactly as you are.
my approach is gentle, intuitive and responsive, allowing your body to guide the pace of the work rather than pushing toward a particular outcome.
whether you are moving through pregnancy, postpartum, hormonal shifts, infertility, your menopause journey or simply feeling the need to reconnect with yourself, sessions are designed to offer space for rest, softness and nervous system support.
you will always be met with care, consent and respect for your boundaries, comfort and lived experience.
my hope is that you leave feeling more connected to your body, more supported within yourself, and able to soften into a greater sense of balance and ease.
“it has been amazing having emma support us on our journey through our second pregnancy.
emma’s calm, confident and reassuring approach made us feel at ease right from the beginning”
plant medicine
alongside my bodywork practice, i hold a deep connection to the natural world and the wisdom held within plants and traditional herbal practices. i see myself as a lifelong student of folk herbalism, continually learning and deepening my understanding of how plants can gently support health, balance and wellbeing.
living in closer relationship with nature and the changing seasons is an important part of both my personal life and my work. i believe there is great value in slowing down, listening to the rhythms of the body and reconnecting with the nourishment and support that the earth offers us.
these influences softly weave their way into my practice, shaping the spaces I hold and my approach to care, rest and cyclical wellbeing.
reconnecting to lost rituals of self care
across many cultures, knowledge surrounding pregnancy, postpartum, menopause and monthly cycles has long been shared through community, ritual and plant-based care. i am deeply inspired by these traditional practices and the ways herbs and natural remedies have been intuitively used to nourish and support the body through life’s transitions.
alongside my bodywork practice and sessions, i gently weave elements of herbal and practical self care into my offerings, with the intention of helping people reconnect with slower, more traditional ways of caring for themselves.
my shop contains a collection of small batch handmade products created to support rest, recovery and cyclical wellbeing, including sitz bath blends, bath teas, oat milk baths, yoni steam blends and faja womb belts.
